HDD board swaps
When a hard drive will not spin or enumerate because the controller board is dead, we swap in a matching PCB. That is the board work. We do not work on phones.
What we do
- Match a donor HDD PCB to the original board number and drive family
- Move the original ROM / adaptive chip onto the donor when that firmware is unique to the drive
- Hot-air work on the drive board when a protection part is the only failure
What we do not do
- Phones — no passcode bypass, no NAND transplants, no phone board repair
- Open the sealed head and platter assembly. No cleanroom.
- Unmatched donor boards, or a promise the heads and platters are still good
Board work happens on the bench after pickup. We do not publish a shop address. Quote after photos of the drive and the board number.
